South by Southwest Gaming Expo

This weekend (12pm - 8pm on Saturday and Sunday), there is a free Gaming Expo in the Palmer Events Center.  Parking is $8, but everything else is free!

 The boys and I went last night and it was a lot of fun. Hundreds of game companies had their newest games available for trial. There were a lot of video games, but also some board games as well.





The boys got to try the new Ocular glasses, which was pretty cool!



And check out the Back to the Future car!

 They also have a variety of discussion panels that sounded interesting, if you avhe the time.  There was just about every age group represented, with something for everyone.

    Is this event over? Was this only for lastweekend? Where can I find a schedule of events?

    Unfortunately it only ran the first weekend of the Interactive portion of SXSW.

    We don't always think about top board games for kids when we think about their play time. Little ones run and jump and fall and get up and do it again. Board games add mental exercise to their play.
